The bravery of commander of faithful {1}

The bravery of commander of faithful [AS] in Sunnis and Shia resources {1}

Courage, the virtue that commander of faithful Ali [AS] discussed in six-person council.

Was anyone of you like me in killing idolaters and defending prophet Muhammad [PBUH] in wars and hardships? They said: no weren’t.

The Manaqib [virtues] of Ali [AS], “Ahmad ibn Musa”, P 128

According to Sunni principles, one of the conditions of Imamate is courage!

They say Imam must be valor not coward. M.R “Eiji” who’s amongst the heroes of theology science and famous Sunni theologians, says in the book “al-Mavqif”:

المقصد الثانی فی شروط الإمامة المتن الجمهور علی أن أهل الإمامة مجتهد فی الأصول والفروع

Most of Scholars say that Imam must be +++

The courage of commander of faithful [AS] in Sunni resources!

Did anyone of you stand against “Quraysh” infidels and defend prophet [PBUH] as I did? They said: no we didn’t

Prophet [PBUH] would give flag to commander of faithful at wars and “Gabriel” was Ali’s right hand and “Michael” was his left hand, and “Ali” [AS] wouldn’t leave battle field unless after victory.

“Seil al-Huda” al-Salihi al-Shami” v 11, p 288

Was “Ibn abi al-Hadid” Shia?

“wahhabis” like a lot to introduce “Ibn Abi al-Hadid” as Shia. What they say is quit wrong because he’s “Mu’tazilite” from Sunni sect.

In the interpretation of Nahj al-Balaghah”, he keeps saying that “Abu-Bakr” is the first caliph and “Umar” and “Uthman” are second and third caliphs and defends this belief by bringing different reasons while no Shia has such idea.

Ali’s [AS] courage in Shia resources:

On the day of battle of “Ohod”, all companions of prophet [PBUH] fled, other than Ali “ibn Abi-Talib” and “Abu dujanah Simak ibn khrashah”. Prophet [PBUH] said: O “Abu Dejanah”, don’t you see that all people of you tribe have fled. He said: yes, I do, prophet said [PBUH]: flee with them, go to them, he said: the allegiance that we sworn to god and his prophet wasn’t to escape. Prophet said: I’ve lifted allegiance from you. He said: if I do so, “Quraysh” members will tell you that “Abu dujanah” humiliated you and fled and I’ll feel embarrassed amongst “Quraysh” tribe, then prophet prayed for him.

When enemy attacked, commander of faithful [AS] defended prophet [PBUH] till he wounded a lot and broke his sword on the battle of “Uhud”. Commander of faithful [AS] went to prophet [PBUH] and said: a man fought by his sword while mine is broken. Prophet [PBUH] gave him his own sword “Zul faqr” and “Ali” fought by his sword sacrificed himself for prophet. “Gabriel” came down and said: O messenger of god, this act is called sacrificing. Prophet [PBUH] said: “Ali” is from me and I’m from him. “Gabriel” said: I’m from you two either. And a sound was heard from sky: there’s no sword but “Zul faqar” and there is no chivalrous but “Ali”.

Elal al-Sharayi’ , “Ibn Babuyah”, v 1, p 7

There’s no sword but “Zul Faqar”, there’s no chivalrous but “Ali” in Sunni resources.

Amongst all “Ansar” and “migrants”, “Gabriel” came to me and said: O “Muhammad”, there’s no sword like “Zul Faqar” and there’s not chivalrous like “Ali”, has “Gabriel” said this sentence about anyone amongst “Ansar” and “migrants” [ those who migrated to medina with prophet]. They said: No

The history of Damascus, “Abdulah Shafi’i”, v 39, p 201

What’s the meaning of Sunni “Mu’tazilite”?

From “Fiqh” points of view, Sunnis have five or six faiths: “Hanafi”, “Maliki”, “Shafi’i”, “Hanbali” faiths which are famous. “Zahiri” faith that its leader is “Ibn Hazm Andulosi” and its founder is “Dawud bin Ali Zahiri”. These are Juridical tendencies of Sunnis.

In terms of theological,{1} some are “Mu’tazilite” who are the patrons of “Wasil bin Ata’” and some are the patrons of “Abu al-Hasan Ash’ari”. {2} Some of them are “Matridi” who follow “Abu Mansur Matridi” and {3} some of them are “Wahhabi”.

In fact “Mu’tazilite” is one of the  “Theological” sects of Sunnis; some of these guys follow “Ahmad ib Hanbal”. So “Ash’arites” is one of the sects of Sunni “Mu’tazilite”.

Presenter

Greeting to you dear viewers and fast holders in the month of “Ramadan”. I wish the best for you in this month the month of fasting and worshiping. How seat and enjoyable it is to fast in a month that is the month of the martyrdom of Commander of faithful [AS]. Month of “Ramadan” is the month of worshiping, the month that doors of grace are opened towards believers. Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] says:

«أَنْفَاسُکمْ فِیهِ تَسْبِیحٌ وَ نَوْمُکمْ فِیهِ عِبَادَةٌ»

Your breaths are    and your sleeping is worship.

Al-almali, “Saduq”, p 93

Tonight we’re at our master’s serve Ayatollah “Qazini”, greeting to you and welcome, may god accept you worship, god willing.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”

Greeting to you and dear and respectable viewers.

Presenter:

Thank you. It’s been while that we’ve begun a discussion based on some “Wahhabism” networks’ experts’ baseless remarks that commander of faithful [AS] hasn’t mentioned to his Imamate and guardianship in his talks.

We cited many instances that Ali [AS] had mentioned to his imamate and guardianship in his talks in different ways in both prophet’s [PBUH] time and after that. One of places that he mentioned to this matter is in six-person council.

Tonight we want ask Master that what has the matter of the bravery of “Ali” [AS] got to do with the matter of imamate that “Ali” [AS] mentioned to it in six-person council.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

As you mentioned, Last session we said many narratives that commander of faithful [AS] had reasoned to them for his own Imamate responding the experts of “Wahhabism” evil networks. For instance: when “Ali” [AS] was told that “Abu-Bakr” had been selected as caliph after group of Muslims swore him an allegiance [Thaqifah], he mentioned to “Ghadir” event and his imamate. Seven days after prophet’s [PBUH] demise, he went to the mosque and mentioned to “Ghadir” event. At the time “Uthman” [third caliph] he relied on “Ghadir” event to prove that his Imam before 200 persons at “Al-masjid an-Nabawi”.

at the time of “Umar”, “Ali” [AS] mentioned to 50 or 60 of his virtues and merits in six- person council to prove that he deserves to be imam and caliph.

They would say that prophet [PBUH] has left people in charge of selecting caliph and they should gather up and choose caliph, they reasoned to “Thaqifah” and selecting “Abu-Bakr” as caliph.

As for selecting “Umar” as caliph by “Abu-bakr”, people criticized to “Abu-Bakr” and said:

When “Abu-Bakr” was at death’s door, he introduced “Umar” as caliph. People said: you have selected rusty and bad-tempered and rough guy as our caliph. If he becomes caliph he’ll become more rough and bed-tempered. O “Abu-Bakr”! what will you say to your god after meeting him? He said: are you scaring me of god!?

Al-Musnaf fi al-Ahadith, “Abi-Sheibah al-kufi”, v 7, p 434

“Ali” [AS], as well as “Talha” and “Zubair” did object but “Abu-Bakr” did what he wanted.

Second caliph selected six guys, “Talha”, “Zubair” , “Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Awf”, “Uthman”, “Ali ibn abi Talib” [AS] and “Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas”, to choose one person from among themselves as next caliph.

“Ibn Abbas” said to “Ali” [AS]: don’t go to this six-person council, the result is obvious, but “Ali” [AS] said: I should go there for two reasons: first reason is that they said in “Thaqifah” { where Muslims swore “Abu-Bakr” allegiance}:

«لا والله لا تجمع النبوة والخلافة فی أهل بیت أبدا»

Prophecy was for “Bani Hashim” and Imamate can’t be and in fact, it’s opposite of their talk.

On the other hand commander of faithful [AS] says his virtues before them and ask them if they have such virtues?! They said: No we don’t.

“Ali” [AS] asked them in six-person council:

«أفیکم أحد کان أقتل للمشرکین عند کل شدیدة تنزل برسول الله منّی؟»«قالوا: لا»

Was anyone of you like me in killing idolaters and defending prophet [PBUH] in battles and hardships?! They said: No we were not.

Virtues of “Ali” [AS], “Ahmad ibn Musa”, p 128

Heart blinded infidels and evil Wahhabis have closed their eyes on reality and do their best to whether deny the virtues of “Ali” [AS] or to extend it to others saying that: this virtue wasn’t just for him.

They say: as prophet [PBUH] has said about “Ali” [AS]:

« أَنَا مَدِينَةُ الْعِلْمِ و َعَلِيٌّ بَابُهَا فَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَلْيَأْتِ الْبَابَ »

Prophet said: I’m the city of knowledge and “Ali” is its gate; so everyone who want to inside the city should enter through the gate.

Al-Mustadrak, “Hakim Neishapuri”, v 3, p 137

He’s said about “Abu-Bakr” this sentence either:

«أنا مدینة العلم وعلی بابها وابو بکر أساسها وعمر حیطانها وعثمان سقف‌ها »

Prophet said: I’m the knowledge city, “Ali” is it door, “Abu-Bakr” is its pillar “Umar” is its wall and “Uthman” is its ceiling.

“Al-Sawa’iq alMuhriqah” v 1, p 87

One of things which is very painful for “Wahhabism” to accept is the courage of commander of faithful [AS].

Commander of faithful [AS] said to “Talha”, “Zubair” , “Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Awf”, “Uthman” and “Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqa”, five elders of “Quraysh” tribe:

Was anyone of you like me in killing idolaters and defending prophet [PBUH] in battles and hardships?! They said: No we were not.

Two years ago we searched about the rational reasons of imamate and said that Sunnis believe that one of the conditions of Imamate is courage.

If Imam is coward he can neither defend the country nor can he defends Muslims and their family. That’s why they say that one the conditions of Imamate is courage.

I was at Hadrat “Ma’sumah” holy shrine last week, someone came to me and  asked me talking about the bravery of commander of faithful [AS].

Firstly, his bravery his courage doesn’t need to be said, Shia, Sunni, Jewish, Christian and secular, all believe that no one was created as brave as “Ali” [AS].

God hasn’t created anyone as brave as commander of faithful [AS] and won’t create. Of course anything that “Ali” [AS] has, he’s gotten it from prophet [PBUH] including courage. Shia must be careful not to introduce “Ali” [AS] higher that prophet [PBUH] in bravery. As commander of faithful said:

 «أَنَا عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِیدِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَیهِ وَ آلِه»

I’m one of the servants of prophet [PBUH].

Kafi, “Kulini”, v 1, p 225

He says: we’d refuge to Prophet [PBUH] on the battlefield when war got complicated and tough. It means prophet’s courage was a lot that was the shelter of warriors like “Ali” [AS].

There’s a narrative in the book “Musnad Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal”, searched by “Ahmad Shaker”, v 1, Hadith No. 1719

Imam “Hasan” speechified at the night of commander of faithful’s [AS] martyrdom and said: you’ve lost someone who was unique amongst all people. Prophet [PBUH] would give him flag on the battlefield, “Gabriel” was his right hand and “Michael” was his left hand and he’d return from battle field other than winner.

«إسناده صحیحٌ»

narrator’s document is valid.

You tell us name of a battle that “Ali” returned from it as loser. There isn’t such war. “Ahmad Eqad” says: the strongest and heroes of Arab fought “Ali” [AS] on the battlefield, but “Ali” didn’t scar of them a bit.

Mr. “Sakhavi” has a book named “al-maqasid al-hasanah”, it’s written on page 73, in the footnote:

«قضاء علی و علمه و شجاعته من المتواترات فلیس فی الصحابة من یفوقه فی ذلک»

There are successive narratives about the courage, judgment and knowledge of commander of faithful [AS]. And amongst companions no one is higher than him in these things.

After “Umar” and “Abu-Bakr” returned from battlefield as loser, prophet [PBUH] said:

«لأعطین الرایة الیوم رجلا یحب الله ورسوله ویحبه الله ورسوله»«کراراً غیر فرار»«وأعطاها علیا»

I’ll give the flag to someone who likes god and prophet [PBUH] and they like him to. He’s steady and never flees of battlefield, then he gave the flag to “Ali” [AS].

Among things that “Ali” [AS] relied on in six-person council is following sentence:

Is there anyone other than me who prophet [PBUH] would give the flag to him and say: I’ll give the flag to the one who likes god and prophet and they like him either? They said: swear to god, No there isn’t.

Following sentence that Mr. “IJI” has said is very important:

«وذلک یدل علی أن ما وصفه به لم یوجد فی غیره»

What prophet [PBUH] has said in here to describe “Ali” [AS] is just found in “Ali” [AS] no anyone else.

Al-mawaqif, “Ahmad al-IJI”, v 3, p 626

Mr. “Salihi Shami” who is amongst Sunni big scholars says in the book “Seil al-Huda” v 11, p 288:

«وکان من أشجع الناس، لم یبارز أحدا قط إلا قتله»

“Ali” [AS] was the most courage person and he’s not fought anyone without killing him.

“ibn abi al-hadid Mu’atazili Shafi’i” quotes from second caliph {Umar} in the book “interpretation of Nahj al-Blagha” v 12, p 51:

«و الله لو لا سیفه لما قام عمود الإسلام»

If it weren’t for the sword of “Ali”, the flag of Islam wouldn’t have raised.

“Ibn abi al-Hadid” discusses the bravery of commander of faithful [AS] decisively:

«و أما الشجاعة فإنه أنسی الناس فیها ذکر من کان قبله»

In bravery, “Ali ibn abi-Talib” has wiped out the name of braves.

Anyone who was courage during the history, was brave until before commander of faithful [AS], but when people saw Ali’s courage, the light of his bravery shined like the sunlight and other braves burned like the Glim.

«و محا اسم من یأتی بعده»

He didn’t leave any place for other braves.

Interpretation of Nahj al-Balagha, “Izz al-ddin hibat allah”, v 1, p 19

“Ragib esbahani” says in the book “Muhazirat al-Udab’a”, v 2, p 151:

«کانت قریش إذا رأت أمیر المؤمنین فی کتیبة تواصت خوفا منه ونظر إلیه رجل وقد شق العسکر فقال»«قد علمت أن ملک الموت فی الجانب الذی فیه علی»

When “Quraysh” tribe warriors would face “Ali” [AS], they’d flee and army would disperse, they’d say: the angel of death is where that “Ali” [AS] is there because angle of death is behind his sword.

Mr. “Abbas Mahmud Aqqad” who’s amongst Egyptian Sunni elders and is a prominent scientific figure and has many responsibilities, says: “Ali” didn’t fight anyone unless he failed him.

«وقد یزحزح الحجر الضخم لا یزحزحه إلا رجال،»«ویحمل الباب الکبیر یعی بقلبه الأشداء،»«ویصیح الصیحة فتنخلع لها قلوب الشجعان»

He picked up a piece of stone that big men couldn’t do so. He avulsed the door of “Kheibar”, “Ali” would roar and the heart of Arab braves would shake of his roars.

Ingenuity of “Ali” [AS], “Abbas Mahmud Aqqad”, p 15

«وکان إلی قوته البالغة شجاعا لا ینهض له أحد فی میدان مناجزة، فکان لجرأته علی الموت لا یهاب قرنا من الأقران، بالغا ما بلغ من الصولة ورهبة الصیت»«واجترأ وهو فتی ناشئ علی عمرو بن ود، فارس الجزیرة العربیة الذی کان یقوم بألف رجل عند أصحابه، وعند أعداءه.»

“Ali” wouldn’t scare of dying and despite of most courageous warriors would come on the battle field fighting him but he didn’t scare of any of them.

“Ali ibn abi-Talib” [AS] was teenager that he fought “Amr ibn Abd al-Wud” the most courageous warrior of Arab peninsula.

Ingenuity of “Ali” [AS], “Abbas Mahmud Aqqād”, p 15

When “Ali” [AS] did stand against “Amr ibn Abd al-Wud”, he said to “Ali”: it’s a pity to kill you! Before moving, in a quick strike, “Ali” [AS] hit his leg by sword and sat on his chest, before cutting his head off “Ali” [AS] waited, after several minutes he cut his head off. Some people objected and said prophet [PBUH]: why did “Ali” [AS] wait for several minutes or got up and walked?!

Prophet [PBUH] said: ask “Ali” himself. They said to “Ali”: what happened? He answered: when I hit him on the ground he spit at me and said my mother’s name and made me angry. That time I feared that if kill him it’s because that he spit at me. So I waited till my rage goes down, then I cut his head off for the sake of god.

Second caliph said: O “Ali”! why did you not take his armor, it was the most valuable one amongst “Arab”?! “Ali” said: he said to me you’re chivalrous, I want you to let my body to be give to my family with armor.

What a benevolence he showed before an enemy who insulted him.

After killing “Amr ibn Abd al-Wud”, his sister said:

«لو کان قاتل عمرو غیر قاتله» «بکیته أبدا ما دمت فی الأبد» «لکن قاتله من لا نظیر له» «وکان یدعی أبوه بیضة البلد»

If anyone other than “Ali” had killed my father, I’d have cried till end of my life, but what can I do, my brother’s killer is a unique person in the universe and his father has been amongst the most famous and dignified people in “Mecca”.

Ingenuity of “Ali” [AS], “Abbas Mahmud Aqqād”, p 15

The detailed issues of this program

they accept that this narrative shows one of the virtues of commander of faithful [AS] that we had already talked about it comprehensively. These are some of resources that contain what happened in the battle of “Uhud”.

Presenter:

Thank you very much master. Since we’re in month of “Ramadan” we’ll continue talking about Ali’s [AS] bravery next week on Sunday. Many people have sent txt about tonight’s topic showing their happiness over talking about Ali’s [AS] bravery.

Commander of faithful [AS] with such unique courage, when he’d face a child he’d become gentle towards him and such brave person would become modest before god while worshiping.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

At those moments:

«یَتَمَلْمَلُ تَمَلْمُلَ اَلسَّلِیمِ»

Nahg al-Balghah, {subhi Salih}, p 480

Each part of “Kumeil” supplication requires to be thought about hours, weeks or even months to realize the real concept that “Ali” [AS] has used in this supplication.

In an declaration released by “Saudi Arabia” recently, they say: one of reasons that we stopped Iranians and Shia coming to “Mecca” performing “Hajj” is that they read “Kumeil” supplication which is full of polytheism.

I don’t know if they’ve already read, heard or seen this supplication!

One of “Saudi Arabia” scholars has just published a supplication book that he’s used of sentences similar to the sentences seen in “Kumeil” supplication.

How come that if a Shia reads “Kumeil” supplication it’s kind of polytheism but if a “Wahhabi” uses of its sentences in his book it’s like theism. I rally ask some of guys who were deceived by “Wahhabis” to listen carefully before getting to the moment of begging god:

… My Lord, let me go back, that I should do righteousness in that I forsook….

Sura AL-MUMENOON, verse 99, 100

Let’s think to see that whether “Ali” [AS] is right or others, If anyone has been similar to “Ali” [AS] during the history in courage, manners, worship, knowledge, piety, generosity?!

If you know anyone amongst companions like “Ali” [AS] tell us as well. Is that make sense to leave “Ali” [AS] following another person.

Greeting to you and master “QAZVINI”, one of the experts of “Wahhabi” networks asked Shias a question I didn’t see someone to answer this question. I have the answer but not its document and I wanted to ask you.

I’d read in one of books that “Abu-Bakr” and “Umar” have said: we heard from prophet [PBUH] that bot prophecy and caliphate aren’t collected in “Bani Hashim” and by saying such thing he made doubt amongst people that since “Ali” [AS] is from “Bani Hashim” can’t be imam and caliph after prophet [PBUH].

Commander of faithful Ali [AS] said in response of this question that why you attended six-person council {for selecting caliph}: to reveal that that quotation they {Umar, Abu-Bakr} ascribed to prophet [PBUH] is a lie, I found it necessary going to six-person council, they ascribed lie to prophet [PBUH] usurping my due, this is what I wanted to disclose for people.

He said: at that time “Umar” had ascribed lie to prophet [PBUH] that imamate and prophecy aren’t collected in “Bani Hashim” .

Master, I want you to mention to the document of this narrative because I don’t remember the book that contains it.

Presenter:

Thank you Mrs. “Hakimi”, wiat we’ll answer your question within minutes, next viewer, hello

Viewer: {Mr. “Naseri” Shia}

In the name of god. Greeting to respectable presenter Mr. “Ali Ismaili” and as well as Ayatollah “QAZVINI”, Shia honor. I ask god to cut off of the life of guys like me and add to his life, may god accept your prayers and worships.

As for tonight’s topic of conversation, I want to say that prophet Muhammad [AS] have said these virtues during his life, from the first day of guardianship till when his holy head was on the chest of “Ali” [AS] while getting martyred.

Prophet [PBUH] knew that commander of faithful “Ali” [AS] will rely on these talks in six-person council and other places. And in fact, it’s proof for those who were living at the time of prophet [PBUH] and posterity including present age that “Wahhabis “ who want to put out the light of god by their tails but they can never do so.

Presenter:

Thank you for your calling. Bye.

Greeting to you and dear master. I want recite the 54th verse of sura AL-MAEDA and ask a question about it.

Believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion, Allah will bring a nation whom He loves and they love Him, humble towards the believers and stern towards the unbelievers, striving for the Path of Allah and fearless of anyone 's blame. Such is the Bounty of Allah; He bestows it on whom He will. He is the Embracer, the Knower.

Presenter:

Bravo, thank you. God willing master will explain about it.

Viewer: {Mr. “Kheir Abadi”-Shia}

Hello, I’ve a question, you just said “Sunni Mu’atazilite”, I want to you to explain about it. Another question is that “Wahhabis” networks manoeuvre on this matter that commander of faithful [AS] named his children “Umar” and “Uthman”.

They say: “Ali” [AS] had good relationship with “Umar” and “Uthman” were like brothers and Shias are exaggerating and that “Ali” [AS] didn’t have any difference with them. I want to know if caliphs named children “Ali”, “Hasan” or “Husain”?!

Presenter:

Thank you, we’ve already answered such questions over and over in this program but they’ve nothing to say that’s why they say such things.

Master, Mrs. “Hakimi”, mentioned to this matter that caliphate and prophecy aren’t collected in “Bani Hashim”, she said that commander of faithful [AS] went to six-man council for disclosure and she asked for the document of this matter.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

In the book “history of Tabari” v 2, p 578, it’s been quoted that second caliph says to “Ibn Abbas”:

«کرهوا أن یجمعوا لکم النبوة والخلافة»

Prophet didn’t like to collect prophecy and caliphate in a tribe.

And it’s written in the book “perfection in history” v 2, p 439, from “Ibn Athir”:

«کرِهُوا أَنْ یجْمَعُوا لَکمُ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْخِلَافَةَ»

Prophet didn’t like to collect prophecy and caliphate in a tribe.

It’s written in the book “Nhaj al-Balaghah”:

«فقال علی علیه السلام: وأنا أعلم ذلک، ولکنی أدخل معهم فی الشوری، لأن عمر قد أهلنی الآن للخلافة» «وکان قبل ذلک یقول: إن رسول الله قال: إن النبوة والإمامة لا یجتمعان فی فی بیت واحد» «فأنا أدخل فی ذلک لأظهر للناس مناقضة فعله لروایته»

I’m sure about that but “Umar” believes that I’m suitable for caliphate. And he’d say: prophet [PBUH] has said: prophecy and imamate are not collected in the same house. I’ll go to the council to reveal that their talks are in contradictory with the narrative they quote from prophet [PBUH].

Interpretation of Nahj al-balagha, “ibn Abi abi al-Hadid” v 1, p 119

Presenter:

“Muhammad” recited 54th verse of sura AL-MAEDA and asked you to explain about it. What did he mean?

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

As for that verse, we discussed comprehensively on “Valiasr” website, some want to say this verse is a virtue for “Abu-Bakr”, we searched thoroughly and what they say is quite wrong and this verse is about the reappearance of Imam “Mahdi” [AS].

Since we don’t have time we can’t talk about it, we’ll do so later.

Presenter:

As dear master said it’s been explained available on “Valiasr” website, please refer there.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

if this verse is really about “Abu-Bakr”, it proves that companions of prophet [PBUH] became apostate.

Presenter:

. Mr. “Kheir Abadi” asked about Sunni “Mu’atazilite”, what does it mean?

Ayatollah “QAZVINI:

Sunnis have five or six faith in terms of “Fiqh”: Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, Hanbali faiths which are well-known. “Zahiri” faith that its leader is “Ibn Hazm Andulusi” and in fact its founder is “Dawud bin Ali Zahiri”, these are Sunnis’ jurisprudence reproaches.

In terms of theological, one group is “Mu’atazilite”, some of them follow “Wasil bin Ata’” and some another follow “Abu Mansur Matridi”, and some are “Wahhabi”.

Some Shias believe in twelve imams, we’re proud to be such Shia. Some Shias are “Zeidiyyah” who say that Imam “Sajjad” [AS] is the last imam. {fourth imam}. And some are “Ismailiyyah” who believe that Imam “Sadiq” [AS] is the last Imam {sixth Imam}. Most of “Zeidi” Shias believe in “Umar” and “Abu-Bakr” but not “Uthman” {some of them}. They are “Zidi Shia” but they believe in “Umar” and “Abu-Bakr”.

Presenter:

Did caliphs name their children “Ali”, “Hasan” or “Hussein”?.

Ayatollah “QAZVINI”:

we didn’t find such thing in resources, if anyone has found anything in this regard, tell us to know.

“Wahhabis” say: “Ali ibn abi-Talib” would like “Umar” and “Abu-Bakr” and selected such names for his children but they didn’t name their children “Ali” it shows that they were his enemies.

We’ve said numerous times that at that time these names “Abu-Bakr” and “Umar” were common names. Naming his children “Abu-Bakr” and “Umar” is because of commonality of these name at that time.

For instance, at the time of “Muhammad Reza” shah {before Islamic revolution in Iran} who wasn’t good guy, people would name their children “Muhammad Reza” since it was common name, that doesn’t mean they’d like “Shah”.

The main name of “Abu-Bakr” was “Abd al-Kaaba”, his sername was “Abu-Bakr”.

This is a sentence that prophet [PBUH] has said:

برز الإیمان کلّه إلی الشرک کلّه

Prophet [PBUH] says that “Ali” [AS] is “all the faith”.

«ضربة علی یوم الخندق تعدل عبادة الثقلین»

Each strike from “Ali” in the battle of “Khandagh” is equal with the worship of jinn and human being.

Al-ehtejaj, “Tabarsi”, v1, p122

What a great sentence, after remembering this beautiful sentence I get so happy.

We’ll talk about Ali’ [AS] courage in the next session completely.

Thank you for watching us. Bye
